Vineyard

Since its creation in 1992, the domain was always driven in reasoned struggle (lutte raisonnée), with a progressive passage in organical culture since around ten years.

Neither artificial fertilizer nor insecticidal are used, and the use of weedkillers is reduced at least. The priority is given to the respect for life of soils: « enherbement », ploughing … That is why, almost totality of the soils of the domain are regularly ploughed (except a parcel of 90 years, which is too old 'to support' the plowings).
About the phytosanitary treatments, for half of the vines of the domain, « conventional » products are used. For the second half of vines, worked by organic culture, only natural products, sulfur and copper, are used to fight against the diseases. These treatments are not systematic but realized according to the weather conditions: the number of treatments can vary from 5 to 12 depending on years.

The grapes are always harvested by hand, with a team of about twenty pickers. The purpose being to bring to the press the intact grapes, to preserve all the quality.
